Market Development History
In the early 2000s, most buildings in Kyrgyzstan utilized basic felt or heavy fabric strips for draft exclusion. These materials lacked durability and offered minimal protection against the infiltrating dust of the steppe regions.
By 2010-2015, there was a shift toward PVC-based seals. While more effective than fabric, these materials often cracked under the intense UV radiation and extreme temperature fluctuations common in the Kyrgyz highlands, leading to frequent replacements of sliding door sweeps.
From 2018 to the present, the industry has entered the era of high-performance elastomers. The integration of EPDM and TPE materials has allowed for seals that expand and contract dynamically, providing a permanent solution for thermal bridging in commercial facades.
