Market Development History
From 1990 to 2005, the Cameroon market relied primarily on low-grade natural rubber strips that were manually nailed to door frames. These provided basic barriers but lacked longevity and precision, often failing within six months due to oxidation.
Between 2006 and 2015, the introduction of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber revolutionized the local industry. This period saw a shift toward screw-on sliding door sweeps, offering significantly better resistance to the tropical ozone and UV radiation typical of Central Africa.
From 2016 to the present, the focus has shifted toward "Smart Sealing." The integration of mechanical springs and precision molding has led to the widespread adoption of the automatic door sealing strip, which activates only upon closing, reducing wear on the rubber surface.
