  • Titanium Dioxide A Crucial Ingredient in Manufacturing
  •

  • In the realm of industrial coatings, the quality of the end product is often determined by the materials used in its creation. One such material that plays a crucial role in achieving high-quality coatings is titanium dioxide, specifically in its rutile form. This pigment is prized for its excellent whiteness, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of coatings but also contributes to their overall performance.
  • Titanium dioxide, a naturally occurring oxide of titanium, is valued for its exceptional opacity, high refractive index, and excellent UV resistance. Its chemical formula, TiO2, represents a combination of one titanium atom (Ti) and two oxygen atoms (O), forming a crystalline structure that gives it its unique properties.
  • Rutile titanium dioxide, the most common form of TiO2, possesses a tetragonal crystal structure and exhibits unique physical and chemical properties that make it suitable for a wide range of applications. One of the key advantages of rutile TiO2 is its high refractive index, which ranges from 2.4 to 2.7. This high refractive index enables rutile TiO2 to provide excellent hiding power and whiteness in coatings, plastics, and other materials.
  • Loman Lithopone B311
White power, is a mixture of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate. Its whiteness, strong hiding power than zinc oxide, refractive index and opaque force than zinc oxide and lead oxide.

    Applications:
Used for paint, ink, rubber, polyolefin, vinyl resin, ABS resin, polystyrense, polycarbonate, paper, cloth, leather, enamel, etc. Used as a binder in buld production.

    Storage:
The product is a kind of white power which is safe, nontoxic and harmless. Keep from misture during transport and should be stored in a cool, dry condition. Avoid breathing  dust when handling, and wash with soap & water in case of skin contact. For more details, please refer to the MSDS.

  • The most significant uncertainty identified by the EU experts was the concern that TiO2 particles may have genotoxic effects. Genotoxicity refers to the ability of a chemical to directly damage genetic material within a cell (DNA), which may lead to cancer in certain situations. Although the experts did not conclude that TiO2 particles in E171 are genotoxic, they could not rule out the concern that they might be.

  • In the realm of health and wellness, antioxidants have emerged as a powerful ally in the fight against cellular damage and disease. These incredible compounds work by neutralizing harmful free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can cause oxidative stress within the body. This process is essential for maintaining optimal health and preventing chronic illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer's.
