rodent seal garage door2. Weather Stripping Installing weather stripping around the door frame is another effective method to reduce drafts. This can be done by applying adhesive-backed foam or rubber strips to the door edges where it meets the frame. Not only does weather stripping prevent cold air from entering, it also helps to retain heat and reduce energy costs by lowering the workload on heating systems.

absorbent anti slip floor matThe installation of door brush bottoms is relatively straightforward, making it an accessible DIY project for homeowners looking to improve their living environments. Not only does it enhance the functionality of the door, but it also adds value to the home. Prospective buyers appreciate energy-efficient features, and a well-maintained home with thoughtful details like door brush bottoms can make a lasting impression.
Considerations When Choosing Anti-Skid Mats
Installing an under-door noise blocker is typically a straightforward process. For adhesive strips, clean the area under the door to ensure good adhesion, then carefully measure and cut the strip to the correct length. Press the adhesive side firmly against the door, ensuring there are no air bubbles. For sliding panels or weighted fabric blockers, simply position them at the base of the door, allowing them to cover the gap fully. It's important to test the door's functionality after installation. Ensure that the door opens and closes smoothly without obstruction.
Falls are a leading cause of injury among older adults, often resulting in severe consequences such as fractures, head injuries, and even fatalities. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in four older adults falls each year, making it a public health concern. Bathrooms, especially showers, present a unique risk; wet surfaces can be treacherous, and traditional bath mats often fail to provide the grip and stability necessary for safe movement.

- Furthermore, research and development in the coatings industry continue to explore ways to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of TiO2 usage. Nano-sized TiO2 particles, for instance, have shown potential in improving the performance characteristics of coatings while reducing the overall TiO2 content required.
Food additive or carcinogen? The growing list of chemicals banned in EU but used in US, by Mikaela Conley, The Guardian, June 23, 2022
For a review published in 2023 in the journal Environmental Pollution, researchers examined E171 as a possible factor promoting obesity-related metabolic disorders. Because gut microbiota play an important role in immune function maintenance and development, and because titanium dioxide as a food additive has been shown to alter gut microbiota, researchers wanted to review “the dysregulations along the gut microbiota-immune system axis after oral TiO2 exposure compared to those reported in obese or diabetic patients, and to highlight potential mechanisms by which foodborne TiO2 nanoparticles may increase the susceptibility to develop obesity-related metabolic disorders.” The study authors discovered recurrent changes in the gut microbiota composition when exposed to titanium dioxide nanoparticles, with an imbalance of intestinal symbiotic microbiota. These changes and imbalances were also reported and played a role in the development of obesity, the authors wrote. This highlights “foodborne TiO2 nanoparticles as an endocrine disruptor-like chemical promoting obesity-related disorders,” the authors concluded.
TiO2 absorbs UV light. This property makes it appear bright white under light, unlike other white materials that can look slightly yellow.
It adds a bright white color to coffee creamers, baked goods, chewing gums, hard-shell candies, puddings, frostings, dressings, and sauces. But the nanoparticles found in “food-grade” titanium dioxide may accumulate in the body and cause DNA damage—which is one way chemicals cause cancer and other health problems.

Various titanium-rich minerals, including ilmenite and rutile, can serve as starting materials for the production of highly purified Titanium Dioxide. The predominant method employed in Titanium Dioxide production is the chloride process. In this process, the mineral, along with coke and chlorine, undergoes a reaction within a fluidized bed, resulting in the formation of primarily titanium tetrachloride and carbon dioxide. Subsequently, the titanium tetrachloride undergoes purification and conversion to Titanium Dioxide. Another method involves treating ilmenite with sulfuric acid to manufacture the chemical.
One of the most widely used food pigments is titanium dioxide, an odorless powder that enhances the white color or opacity of foods and over-the-counter products, including coffee creamers, candies, sunscreen, and toothpaste (1Trusted Source, 2Trusted Source).
In recent years, titanium dioxide (TiO2) has gained immense popularity across various industries due to its excellent properties, such as high opacity, brightness, and ultraviolet light absorption. As a result, the demand for titanium dioxide has increased significantly, prompting a surge in the number of manufacturers hoping to capitalize on this booming market. While quality remains a priority, cost-effectiveness has emerged as a crucial factor for consumers, leading to a growing interest in cheap titanium dioxide manufacturers.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a fine white powder or dust that occurs naturally. It was first intentionally produced for use as a white pigment in 1923.

Available studies in humans and postmortem analysis of tissues suggested that the oral bioavailability of titanium dioxide in humans is very low. JECFA noted that there are currently no epidemiological studies that allow any conclusions to be drawn with respect to an association between dietary exposure titanium dioxide and human health effects.

But in 2021, EFSA reevaluated titanium dioxide to consider the impacts of its nanoparticle. After considering more studies, EFSA concluded that nanoparticle-size titanium dioxide can accumulate in the body, break DNA strands and cause chromosomal damage.

Historically, the first mentions of zinc sulfide being utilized as a pigment were approximately sixty years before the everyday use of lithopone. Originally, it was thought to be appropriate for coloring rubber. In England, a patent was granted for this process. Two decades after this, the focus shifted to zinc sulfide as a suitable pigment for paint. The year 1874 witnessed the patenting of a manufacturing process for a novel white pigment composed of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate. Dubbed Charlton white or Orr’s white enamel, this began a new era for white pigments.
Nowadays, the use of nanoparticles in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products has increased. In the last case, nano-sized components are used without proper characterization of their effects, leading to unwanted and dangerous consequences for the users [1,2].

In Home Care products, the presence of titanium dioxide is declared in line with local regulations, which can vary across the world. In some countries, titanium dioxide is not declared if only a small amount of the ingredient is used. In other countries titanium dioxide is grouped under ‘colourants’ in the ingredients list. In Europe, regulation requires all home care ingredients to be disclosed through a supporting website. You can find our product ingredient information page by visiting ‘
